Quick answers about getting started, the map, your team, billing and your data. Can't find it? Write to support@valubids.com.
Getting started
Where do I start?
When your firm first signs in, a Getting started list at the top of the page walks you through the first steps: your firm's logo and details, your comps, your signature and license, and your team. Each step checks itself off once it is done. You can hide the list, and it comes back the next time you sign in until every step is done.
How do I bring in the comps I already have?
On the Comparables page, choose Bulk Import Comps and pick your spreadsheet, as Excel (.xlsx) or CSV. ValuBids matches your columns to its fields and shows you what it will do before anything is saved. An import can be undone afterwards if it was not what you wanted.
How do I add a comp?
Choose Add Comparable. Type the parcel number and the county's record fills in the basics for you. Everything you type is saved as you go.
Can I use ValuBids on a phone or tablet?
Yes. On a phone, the menu button at the top left opens the menu. Wide tables, such as the comp list, scroll sideways on a small screen, so longer work is easier on a computer.
The map
What can I look up?
Every parcel in Florida: the owner, the use and the recent sales from the county's records; zoning and future land use where the city or county publishes them; and FEMA's flood zones. Search by address, owner or parcel number from the box at the top of the map.
How do I find sales?
In Map View, open Sales Search, choose the area you care about and narrow the results by date, property use and zoning. The results download to Excel.
Can I save my own market areas?
Yes. Boundaries lets you draw an area, such as a neighborhood or a corridor, name it and keep it. You can search for sales inside it later, or download the parcels in it.
Your team
How do I add a colleague?
Administrators go to Settings, then Team & seats, and invite them by email (or choose Add a user in the menu). They get an email link that works once and lasts 14 days. Adding a person adds a seat: you see the charge and confirm it before anything is charged. A free trial is for one person; you can add people once your subscription begins.
Can people at my firm have different products?
Yes. Each person holds the products you give them, for example the Comp Database for the appraisers and just the Map for an assistant. The Bid Log is priced once for the whole firm.
What can an administrator do that others can't?
Administrators manage the team, the plan and billing, and the settings the whole firm shares, such as the letterhead, the grid layouts and the appraisers' signatures.
Can I see who changed a comp?
Yes. Each comp has a History tab showing who added, changed, deleted or restored it, and when. Administrators can see the whole firm's activity under Settings, then Activity. History is kept from October 31, 2026 on.
Billing
How does the free trial work?
Seven days, for one person. A card is needed to start, and nothing is charged during the trial. We email you a reminder before it ends. To cancel, go to Settings, then Plan & billing, and choose Cancel subscription before the trial ends.
Yearly or monthly?
Each product can be paid yearly, which gives you two months free, or monthly, and one plan can mix the two. The prices are on the pricing page.
How do I cancel?
Go to Settings, then Plan & billing, and choose Cancel subscription, then confirm on the billing page that opens. We email you to confirm it.
Will I get a refund?
For a yearly plan: cancel within 30 days of your first year's charge and we refund all of it. After that, or in a later year, we refund each whole month you haven't started. Monthly plans aren't refunded; they stay active until the end of the month you've paid for. The details are in section 5.4 of the Terms of Service, which are what count.
Can I switch from monthly to yearly?
Yes, in Settings, then Plan & billing, under Modify plan, except while a promotional discount on that product is still running. You see the amount and confirm before anything is charged.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Nothing is deleted right away. For at least 60 days your account is read-only: you can see everything and download all of it. After that it may be deleted, so download a copy first (see below).
Your account
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in page, choose Forgot your password? and we'll email you a link to choose a new one.
What makes a password acceptable?
At least 10 characters, with a capital letter and a symbol such as ! # $ or -. ValuBids also turns down any password that has shown up in a known data breach.
How do I change my email or password?
Go to Settings, then My account. Changing your password signs you out on every other device.
Your data
Who can see my comps?
Only the people at your firm. Each firm's records are kept in their own separate database. ValuBids staff look at your data only when you ask us to, or to fix a fault or a security problem; the Privacy Policy has the details.
Is my data backed up?
Yes. Every firm is backed up each night, encrypted, to a separate location away from the server it runs on.
I deleted a comp by mistake.
On the Comparables page, open Recently Deleted and restore it. Deleted comps are kept there for 30 days.
How do I download everything?
Administrators can download every record and uploaded file at any time: Settings, then Plan & billing, then Download all my data.
Still stuck?
How do I reach you?
Email support@valubids.com, or choose Report a problem at the bottom of the menu in the app. It tells us which page you were on, and we reply to your sign-in email.
